Carbon Steel Structural Tubing |

A500 |
A500 |
Round |
2" OD x 1/8" W to 20" OD x 5/8" W |
20', 24' or 40' RL |
|
Description: Structural steel tubing is produced to O.D. and Wall dimensions. It is made from flat rolled basic oxygen steel, which is formed into a tubular shape and then welded by the electric resistance process. In this continuous welding process there is no loss of properties, and no irregularity that may be observed in the structure. Over the years, tests and service have demonstrated that the weld zone is as strong as the base metal. Also available as special order in DS, HSLA, galvanized, flash-controlled and telescoping. |
|||||
Application: Standard Structural Steel Tubing has the advantage of ease of fabrication, and all the standard fabrication techniques may be employed. It may be expanded or swaged, flattened or flared, bent or drawn. It may be mechanically joined or welded by all the commonly used techniques and practices. |
